The Delaware County Conservation District Annual Poster Contest: "Soil to Spoon!"
The Delaware County Conservation District is proud to announce the theme "Soil to Spoon" for the 2012 Poster Contest. Posters will be judged in the following grade categories: K-1, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. A first place prize of $75, a second place prize of $50, a third place prize of $25, and a fourth place prize of $15 will be awarded in each category. Please submit your poster by Friday, April 20th. Posters can be dropped off or mailed to the Conservation District office. The posters will be judged on Tuesday, May 1st. Winners will be notified by letter shortly after and an award ceremony will be held in late May. Please attach the Student Information Chart to the back of the poster or write the information found on this chart on the back of the poster. The contest rules are the following: 1. Poster must be between the sizes of 8.5” x 11” and 22”x 28” 2. Written title or slogan using “Soil to Spoon” must appear on the front of the poster 3. No artist’s name may appear on the front of the poster. 4. One poster per student and one student per poster. 5. Posters must be flat or 2-dimensional. No 3-D object may be attached to the poster. 6. Types of art materials that can be used include: crayons, colored pencils, water-colors, markers, paints, charcoal, stickers, paper.
